I had the EXACT same problem 5Bunnies!!! And now, I hit "SWITCH ROOMS" until he offers me all of the gems I have! IT'S FANTABULOUS!!!
Of course, now, I am kind of low on gems, so I can't sit there FOREVER and keep trying, so I'll have to get some more gems, but it works GREAT as long as you have a pretty good variety of gems!!!!
